Happy 39th Birthday Richard

What has Richard been up to in the last 12 months? Not much really...*cough*

 

Returning as Lucas in Spooks series 8:
Gaining a new jacket, reliving scenes of prison torture, gaining a girlfriend, losing three trusted colleagues (Malcolm, Jo, Ros), losing the girlfriend

Sending us all a Christmas message in December 2009

Providing voiceovers for various adverts (January to present):
Santander, Alfa Romeo Mito Air, BBC Olympics coverage, jewellery radio ads, Sky's Election coverage, Sky Sports HD coverage

Snapped on a Spooks location shoot in Surrey in March

Starring as Robert Lovelace in Radio 4's Clarissa in March

Narrating a Forest Elephants documentary for the BBC Natural World series

Narrating Channel 4's documentary Too Poor for Posh School

Reading Georgette Heyer's Venetia, released in April

Attending the Strike Back Premiere in London's Leicester Square in April

Glaring moodily from billboards around the UK as John Porter in May and snapped travelling to and from radio station interviews wearing Porter's leather jacket

Thrilling us all as said John Porter in Chris Ryan's Strike Back in May

Signing autographs on the red carpet and presenting an award at the 2010 BAFTA Television Awards in June

Narrating Homes from Hell in July

Snapped on a Spooks location shoot in London in July

Reading Georgette Heyer's The Convenient Marriage, released in August

Plus a multitude of radio, television and print interviews throughout the year

As Richard creeps ever nearer the big four-O (well...not quite yet), we thought you might like to leave some birthday messages to commiserate celebrate. 

Our poll has been asking which of Richard's characters is your favourite, but we thought this was a good opportunity to explain your choice.


Which of Richard's characters is your favourite, and more importantly, WHY?

    Once again, thank you for a year of really great performances - also really enjoy the audio books you are doing for Naxos and hope there will be many more.
