4 May 2010 - Richard Bacon interview on BBC Radio 5 Live

Richard was interviewed by Richard Bacon on Radio5Live. There are audio downloads and also video downloads as they had a live webcam, unfortunately I missed the start when capturing the video webcam and the capture facility cut out halfway through but most of the interview is there, and the whole interview is available to download in audio mp3 format.

  Love this interview, he seems very relaxed (as he usually is doing radio or something like this that isn't televised). Fun to hear his very down-to-earth attitude to fame and never having been cast in a lead film role, knowing what is to come for him with being cast as Thorin (probably only a few months after doing this interview). He is so dedicated to his roles and does such an amount of research and puts a lot of thought into them. Yet at the same time he sees his job for what it is, being part of a quite fleeting entertainment industry. I mean, he's just very grounded about acting, I really love that about him. Can't stand actors who seem to think they're half-gods just because their head is on the screen. Anyway, thanks!

  There are a couple of embedded vids which are no longer available: the first clip of "Richard Bacon interview on BBC Radio 5 Live" and the 28 Dec 09 promo vid of Strike Back.

  Thank you so much for creating all these downloads for us less technologically-minded people! I didn't realise there was a live webcam for the Richard Bacon interview although I listened live and was so cross with myself when I realised I'd missed it so imagine how delighted I was to find that you'd captured it. I've downloaded part 2 but cannot click on the link for part one as it isn't highlighted. Is there a problem with the link or is the fault with my computer? Thank you again for all your hard work. You are a star!!
