How do I save a screencap from the gallery?

Click on an image to enlarge it and then click on this download button in the bottom-right corner:

DLbutton

Now right-mouse-click on the image (Ctrl-click on a Mac) and choose Save Image As. This will allow you to save the image to your hard drive. Some galleries have the words 'original image' next to this button, which will open an extra large version of the picture if we have it in our gallery.

How do I reload a page to see the latest updates?

When you view pages online that you've already visited, your browser will store the pages in its local cache so that the images or text are downloaded only once, thereby speeding up download time. Am I the only one wondering if this hunk of a guy is single? :P

According to recent interviews, Richard says he is single. Have a look at the Interviews page for a long list of all the print/online interviews he has given. Video interviews are in the Multimedia menu on the left - Video Interviews and Clips section.

  • Maria  - u're website

I have got to say, your website on RA is amazing? Job well done!! It's so full of information, updates,news.. I don't know how u get the info, but koodos to u.. I check u're website on a daily basis!! I was wondering. Would you happen to know where we can buy or see between the Sheets with RA. I think I've seen it on Amazon, but it looks like the DVD is not suitable for the USA or Canada?
    Would u happen to know?
    Thank you!
    Keep up the fantastic work!

I'm afraid it's only possible to get a region 2 copy of Between the Sheets, as it was only made for a UK audience. Your best option is to look into buying a multi-region DVD player, or obtain software for your PC/Mac to watch DVDs from any region, but often the software will limit you on the number of times you can switch between regions. I can't advise further as I'm no expert, sorry.
    Thank you for visiting!

  • Maria  - RA autograph

    Holy moly!
I followed the above instructions and sent my self addressed envelope in hopes of getting a signed autograph. I didn't have the IRC codes mentioned above. I just added sufficient stamps.. So I guess it is true.. He really does send pics whe he has the time!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

    Congratulations Maria!

  • Catherine  - Staged DVD-anyone got theirs? Or was it a scam?

No response to emails, tweets or call. Has anyone received theirs?

Please see the news update on 9th May.

Hey, I am so glad that I found this website. Having sent fan mail requesting an autographed picture to Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, some years ago, and now having those pictures framed and hanging in my room, I am glad that I can hopefully have one of Richard Armitage. However, with the IRC requirement and the US no longer offering them anymore, has there been anyone who has tried sending fan mail requesting an autographed picture without an IRC, but still get an autographed pic sent back to them? If so, that would be great to know, because like many others who have visited this website, I am taken by RA. His regalness as Thorin is what grabbed me first, then after watching North & South on Netflix, I was completely taken and wanted to see more of his work. I have watched Robin Hood, twice, and am now watching MI-5 (I jumped to season 7). When I first started looking at pictures of him on Google, I guessed that he was between the age of 28 and 30. Finding out that he is 41 shocked me, because he doesnt look 41 at all. I was also saddened, a little, at knowing that he is 41 because that makes him 20 years older than me!!! I've even showed some of my friends his picture and they can't believe that he is 41. Other than being totally taken by RA, I love his acting and how he gets into character not just on the set, but off set and stays in character for the duration of shooting the film. I would love to meet him in person, but an autographed photo will suffice. I look forward to seeing him as Thorin in the next two Hobbit films and all of his future films as well.

  • Shawn  - Postage for US fans

    Hey Everyone,
I live in the USA and I have been trying for over a month to find out how we in the US can get postage for return mail. I have had no luck in getting answers so I emailed the Royal Mail online and asked them personally. Here is he response I received.
Thank you for contacting Royal Mail.

I would firstly like to apologise for the length of time it has taken to respond to you.

I am sorry to hear that the US no longer has International Reply Coupons available. While we offer postage online, it has to be printed and used on the day of purchase; as such, this would not be suitable in this instance.

In the circumstances, I am afraid the only solution would be to pay the recipient in the UK via Paypal or a bank transfer and request they purchase the postage when sending the letter from the UK.

    Our international price guide can be found at the link below, you could then transfer the appropriate funds to the individual in the UK;

    http://www.royalmail.com/personal/international-delivery/airmail

Thank you for contacting me about this matter and I am sorry I cannot send you a more favourable reply. If I can be of any more help however, please contact me again.

    Regards

    Stuart Ward
    Customer Service Advisor

:-( Not the answer I was hoping for but hope that this will help others who live in the US and wanted help.

Anyway, I hope this helps and clears up any questions those of you had from the US.

Ali, thanks for putting up with the questions and being so gracious to answer back!

    Have a great day! :)

    Sincerely,
    Shawn

What a fabulous website Ali!! Well done and thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

Living in the uk I was aware of most of his previous work, so I thought !! I must have slept through 2004 :-). Wow,wow is all I can say to North and South!! I've watched it everyday since my discovery of it on YouTube last week. I get more and more emotional each time I watch it (soppy woman I know).

I have one question to ask I know you are twitter and Facebook to chat to others but do any of the uk fans ever meet up? Or work as a team to organise fundraising events etc for his chosen charities?

If not is it something planned for the near future? Would be lovely to bond with other fellow admirers.

    Once again thank you

    Juliet xx

There have been plenty of meet-ups over the years and originally these were organised via the various RA forums - AA, RAC and C19 are the 3 biggest. Links are on the Web Links page. Since then groups on Facebook and Twitter have organised their own meet-ups, so I suggest you have a look at all those options if you want to join in. You'll find they are all a very welcoming bunch.
    Thanks for your comments.

hey Ali- just wanted to say love the site- I really appreciate that you've put the address on here - do you think it will matter if I send a slightly larger self addressed envelope to him provided I have bought the right stamp :) xx

Not at all, I'm sure that will be fine. Good luck!

  • Chezza  - Tattoo

When Richard played the part of Lucas North he has a number of fake tattoos. Does he have any real ones?
Brilliant site by the way - so glad I found it. Keep up the great work

Not as far as we know, no.
    Thanks Chezza

  • Kayna  - IRC's & writing for an autography

So, I started trying to get an IRC last month (January), but my local little post office didn't carry them. Not much need for them out here in the boondocks. Now, I found out the United States is no longer selling them. So my question is, if I still want to send an envelope to Mr. Armitage to get an autographed photo, what do I do about postage? I'd hate to inconvenience him and his agent in costing them money to send it. Am I just tough out of luck?

BTW- Thanks so much for your site! It's one of my daily reads now, and I love the puzzles you have on it! I get lost for hours doing them!

This is a really tough question as I'm not an expert in these matters. I have heard that some online companies sell UK postage but I'm not willing to recommend one on this site as I cannot confirm their reliability. Those who have friends in the UK can ask them to send UK stamps.

To find out the cost of sending back from the UK to your address, use the UK Post Office price finder and choose your country in step one.

Thanks for your comments about the site!

I ordered mine in December, sent my letter in early January and am still waiting for a reply. I believe Richard is on set filming Black Sky and in LA promoting Richard III. I looked online, though. Google "International Reply Coupon" and click on the result from "How to buy..." by greensboring.com. It looks like it might help. Best of luck!

  • juliane

hello again from Romania, the offer for Richard to visit my country is still standing, if he ever wants to see anything else that he sow untill now.To answer Sue from Australia, maybe Richard, when he'will find his soul mate he'll talk about it.Anyway i think he's tired to listen and answer to so many love dclarations from all over the world. When ,,the one" will apeared in his life it,s better if he will keeped only for him. After all that will be his personal life.So Richard you'd better came in my country and try to find your love and maybe make a film .What would cost you, i told you prince Charles is in love of our Transilvania.Bye

  • C.  - Lol-juliane

Juliane, you write: "if he ever wants to see anything else than he sAw until now". I'm sure Richard has the whole world still to see, think only how vast the Americas are, and I don't think he traveled to South America yet! As for finding love in Romania, it's a possibility, but think that he has spent already a lot of time "next door" in Hungary while filming Robin Hood, so he pretty much knows the region and the type to expect.

  • Sue from Australia

    Hi,
I am hoping that you can clear something up for me as I just don't get it. My friends and employees around my age (30 - 40) are all infatuated with Richard Armitage. Right to the point that I am receiving gifts containing Richard Armitage in one form or another for example just this Christmas I received The North and South DVDs and Spooks, and a ticket to watch the Hobbit etc from friends. Luckily I had already read the novel and watched Spooks ever since season 2 and had read the books from J.R.R. Tolkien several years before. When we have a staff meeting someone raises his name, when I go out for coffee or dinner with my friends - his name always comes into the conversation. I understand that he appears to be a good actor, good looking, but what I don't get is that you don't know this guy as a person only the parts he plays, so how is that so many women my age are infatuated with this guy? Whilst your website is very informative and well put together, but I still don't get it. :(

    I really don't know...I don't get it either.
    :)
Seriously though, that's very hard to explain if you don't get it. And here I am running a website about him - probably not the best person to ask!
    What can I say...he's a fantastic actor!
I'm glad you like the site though, many thanks.

  • Maya  - Calls

Fans I mean ... if they gave him their numbers? He wouldnt write back would he? Cheers ... and keep up the great work

He will send a signed picture if you request one and some fans have been lucky enough to receive a short written note. Cantact details are on the FAQ page.

  • Joe  - Hobbit Mail.

If Richard ,a.k.a. Thorin, were to receive fan mail, would he send a response back via mail? I wanted to send him a letter of admiration and write to him about acting, etc.

    Hi Joe
As far as I know Richard rarely sends written notes but tends to send signed photos when they are requested, but I cannot speak for him of course.
    Best wishes

  • farida  - happy new year to all

..thank you for your interest , i wish you a happy new year :D

  • Lauren  - requesting autographs

Hi. I'm so glad I found this website, think it's very convenient, well-organised, and updated, so well done :) It was a coincidence really, how I found out about Richard. I was researching about Laila Rouass, n read she appeared in Spooks. So I watched the DVDs and I knew nothing about Lucas North at the time. I have to stay, I loved his acting from the first scene I saw, and he is pretty fit too. Loved him throughout all series working as spy and with Maya in series 9.

I wanted to ask... I live in Malta Europe, if I send a letter requesting a signed photo.. will he read the mail but even more importantly, will I definitely recieve the photo. The thing is we have to pay for postage fees and IRCs, dont think its a good idea if we pay all these fees and dont recieve the photo.. if you get what I mean. Another thing, how many International Reply Coupons do I add in the envelope? Is one enough or should I add more?

Hope I understood... so technically in one big envelope, I send another, self-addressed envelope the right size for the photo, the letter of request and the IRCs .. hope I got my information right.

Thankyou for keeping us updated on Richard's latest news :)

Hi Lauren, thank you for your compliments about the site!

Will he read it? Well I cannot say for certain, but he once said that he tries to read all his mail and I have only ever heard of a couple of people who have not had a reply from him - there may be more of course but the majority do get a signed picture when they request it.

At the top of this page I've written the dimensions of the picture and it is a single photo so it isn't too large and certainly isn't heavy. You would need to ask your post office how many IRCs you would need, sorry I don't know the answer to that. Yes you are correct about what you would need inside your envelope.

    Best wishes
    Ali

  • Lauren  - thank you

Thank you...your reply has been of great help. Think I'll consider sending in a few more weeks, so I'll let some calm down from The Hobbit phase :) Thank you so much. Its official, I'll be visiting this website everyday x

    Wonderful, thank you very much!
    Ali

  • Mel  - What a Gentleman!

He still returns requests amidst his life being so busy and getting busier! I sent my North & South DVD cover to his agent in May (from Australia) and 6 months later on 27 November I received an envelope with my own hand writing on it. For a few seconds I was puzzled but realisation hit and I ripped open the envelope to find my North & South DVD cover signed! He even bothered to put it back into the plastic slip I sent it in. A true gentleman, and I'm now even more enamoured with him!
