Hi! Thank you for all the newest news and photos!) You're doing a great job! But I was wondering what happened to Photoshoots galleries? I can see only few, though there were much more of them T_______T

Yes I'm afraid most of these are gone. Copyright is owned by the photographer (or the magazine they appeared in, if the rights to the photograph were sold by the photographer to the magazine). I can post pictures of Richard from professional photoshoots a) if I have been given permission to do so or b) if the photographs appear as part of the magazine article. I have to be careful not to breach copyright otherwise this site will be at risk.

Best wishes

Bettie Biehn: Incredible talent....and not bad to look at!!

Greetings from Northern Virginia, USA (just outside of DC)....and Happy holidays! Let's send good thoughts out into the universe for a more peaceful, less tumultuous 2014. I am SO glad I discovered Richard Armitage on our wonderful local PBS station that is full-time British TV. I found him on Robin Hood, then MI-5, then the Vicar of Dibley, and then the Hobbitt. Not only is he a very handsome man, but also an incredible talent. He exudes a kindness in his eyes and voice, and can morph into incredible numbers of roles with accuracy and believability. Thank you for this website, and thank you, Richard, for being you

Len van Kerkhof: Merry Christmas

Hi Ali, Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Netherlands. It was nice to read Richard's Christmas message, I thank him for that and thank you for putting it on your site. I sent him a Christmas card a few weeks ago, suggesting a Dutch version of the Christmas Oratorio by Bach, to kickstart the festive season, but in the Netherlands we have no IRC- or postage-stamp-services available, so I can't expect a reply. I put my email-address at the card though, just in case. And despite knowing he won't reply, I still keep jumping at the sound of incoming email... :-))) Well, enjoy the holidays and make a good start with 2014! Best wishes! Len.

Merry Christmas Len and thanks for your good wishes.

Susie: Richard's Christmas Message

Just read Richard's Christmas good wishes. What a gentle and thoughtful creature he is! I must admit it mirrors my own sentiments entirely. As you get older you tend to be a little more reflective during the festive season, and are thankful for what you have, and thank God that you have a roof over your head, and a Christmas dinner to tuck into. Unfortunately there are so many people out there sleeping rough, nowhere to go, nobody to care for or about them, it's a salutatory tale of our times, alas. Too many haves, and as always, too many that have nothing. Enjoy your Christmas everyone (especially Richard), and count your blessings. Glad to know that fame and fortune hasn't changed our gentle, thoughtful, giant. (Hope his gravy doesn't turn out too lumpy!) Merry Christmas

Trish: Merry Christmas

Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas Ali. Try to find time for yourself over the festive period and very best wishes and good luck with your thesis. Loves the message from Richard, another busy person who finds time to communicate with us. Again thank you for all your time and trouble to keep us informed of our favourites activities. Happy New Year. Trish

Thank you and Merry Christmas Trish!

Anne: Request DOS Wallpaper

Dear Ali, I have a request. In the DOS there is a poem ("The Prophecy"), a little bit sentimental, but however wonderful. The words are utterly right to RA's Thorin. Some strophes could to be placed very fine on a wallpaper of Thorin. I am not able to make this. But could you know someone who has the skill to make it ? In the movie "The Prophecy" begins: "The King beneath the Mountain, the King of carven stone, the lord of silver fountains, shall come into his own ..." (also in Jude Fisher, Visual Companion). Could it be fine to see this on a wallpaper of Thorin ? Many thanks, greetings, Anne R.

I'll leave this here and see if anyone is up to the challenge? I'll post the wallpaper on this site if given permission to do so.

Chris: Richard's Messages to His Fans

Hi! I love this site! Can't seem to find anywhere though, where you may have a collection of the messages Richard has posted to his fans. Help? (It's probably staring me in the face!) Also, I know RichardArmitageOnLine is folding at the end of this year. Richard often used to post messages to fans on that site. Any chance he might post them here in future? Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris

The messages are all on Annette's site. As stated on her site, it isn't folding, she is just not updating it anymore, so you will still be able to read Richard's messages on there. I don't post the messages here because they were sent to Annette only.

Karen: HuffPo interview - Very strange!

Hi Ali; Wow is that HuffPo article strange. But I guess that's what one gets when one apparently has a reporter with a pre-determined line of thought (dare one say "agenda?"), an inability to recognize multi-level characters, and a complete inability to pick up on her subject's humor. Sad really. *Again* with the "brooding?" Sigh. Really? Uh huh. Very odd. Pass. (But thank YOU for posting.) Cheers!

Amy S: Anagram

Richard Crispin Armitage is an anagram of Carried A Charming Spirit. Very apt! :) x
