Two things to mention: 1) it's impossible to get the RA unabridged Lords of the North audiobook in the US, it's be great if it were distributed through audible.com or itunes. 2) The RA readings of abridged Georgette Heyer novels are so good it makes me cry that they arent' unabridged and that he hasn't performed Frederica, Arabella or The Grand Sophy. If he is ever asked to read Frederica, there would be a cadre of American fans of GH who will pay princely sums to get his performances of the entire novels... Oh, I gues I have three things to say, 3) He is far and away the best performer of novels as audiobooks bar none. Really, it's a remarkable, enjoyable experience listening to him interpret novels. More, please. And unabridged, pretty, pretty please!
It's not impossible to get The Lords of the North in the US as many US visitors to this site will attest because they have had it shipped to them. Full details of how to do this were provided by the distributors of the audiobook and I have listed the information they passed on here.
I remember reading that the reason the Heyer's are abridged is because NAXOS who produced the audiobooks were only able to buy the license for the abridged versions and the unabridged were not available for those novels. So it's not really something that RA has any control over.
I agree, his audiobooks are fantastic, particularly Lords of the North which I loved, and I also hope that he is able to record more one day.
