Interview in Film Star magazine 25 Sept 09
On 4 August 2009, Jason Arnopp revealed on Twitter that he had attended a round table interview with Richard Armitage and today, thanks to Debs, we have received a copy of that interview which has been published in a new magazine called ‘Film Star’, October edition.
The interview reveals many exciting details about Lucas’s role in series 8 of Spooks, including the fact that Lucas will revisit his traumatic past in the Russian prison and that he will begin a love affair with an attractive CIA liaison officer.

After seeing todays pic of the day. I think now that this woman will be Lucas’s love interest. Blonde and attractive(ticks the boxes) Thank goodness it isnt Lori.

Regarding the love affair. I wonder if I’m right in thinking it will be with Lori. That annoying CIA woman who got Harry’s back up last series. Given the brief quote about her “here’s trouble” I’m thinking I could be.
I for one am happy about the return of a certain character(does happy dance) and also that we will see his back story and how he was close to breaking. Richard as we all know excells playing the tortured soul.
Plus think of all the fan fic that will come out of this.

For some reason, I can’t read the scan – drat! And on my birthday, too-
but to hear there will be more of Lucas’s back story and that he will have a love affair – Hooray!! I, too, worry about the writers reference mentioned in above post – I really, REALLY don’t want Lucas to be killed off (I am still grieving over the loss of Guy . . .) anxious for Series 8!

WOW sounds like its going to be very exciting. I can’t wait Lucas is such a great addition to spooks and i just love how RA dose destressed and tormented people. How ever i don’t like when he says things about letting the writers do as they will. Look what happened Guy! Is this his way of telling us Lucas is not going to make it???
