Premier PR, a company that represents and promotes Kudos productions including Spooks, has confirmed on Twitter that there will be a series 9 of Spooks and that it will be broadcast later this year.

On Weds 20 Jan they issued the following tweet:

‘Just to clarify for all you Spooks fans – series 9 will be back later this year. No one can get rid of the mighty Harry Pierce that easily!’

(Oops they spelt ‘Pierce’ wrong.)
